Description
Join Tour Leader Ron Matsushita for the new 2020 Breweries Tour – whet your visual senses and wet your taste buds at two craft breweries on the south coast, also known as the shores of Lake Erie. This 56 km, ‘B-C’ ride will take us along the beautiful West Street Welland Canal promenade to Clarence Street where we will cross the canal and head east. Outbound we will follow mainly roads and explore the shore of Lake Erie through historic Crystal Beach and Ridgeway before looping back and stopping at the Brimstone Brewing Company (around noon) with its spacious patio in Ridgeway at about 38 km. We will then backtrack 18 km to Port Colborne following back roads and the Friendship Trail (safety consideration after a beer tasting!). Just after crossing the Clarence Street bridge, we will stop at Breakwall Brewing Company (around 1:30). From there it is only about 1 km back to HH Knoll Lakeview Park.
