Ride of Silence

Join cyclists worldwide in a silent, slow-paced ride in honour of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. This procession-style, 10 km bicycle ride will be slow (20 km/h max). The event’s intention is to also create awareness of the “Share the Road” initiative. There will be no road closures and helmets are mandatory with cyclists riding single file and adhering to traffic stops and rules of the road. All bike clubs in the NCCA (Niagara Cycling Clubs Alliance) are promoting this ride.

The City of Niagara Falls is hosting the ride. Arrive early. There is no fee to ride and there will be speeches and refreshments before and after the event. Bring a few $ and stay after the event for a BBQ. We encourage everyone to plan to take part. It is a very solemn and meaningful experience.
